FACIAL YOGA, TIPS ON HOW TO DO IT WITHOUT LEAVING HOME

This facial “gym” consists of strengthening the muscles that support the skin, thus ensuring a greater elasticity. As well as easing facial expression wrinkles, by relaxing its spots, without the need to use invasive methods or a varied range of cosmetics.

In early 2018, JAMA Dermatology revealed a study in which researchers at the Northestern Feinberg University of Medicine  in Chicago concluded that exercising facial muscles could rejuvenate up to three years. In this study 16 women between the ages of 45-60 participated in the test, practicing facial yoga, 30 minutes every day for 20 weeks.

Being increasingly exposed to numerous external factors (pollution, air conditioning, weather changes) the face skin loses firmness more easily, in relation to the body. Exercising face muscles makes as much sense as exercising the muscles of the body, at the gym.

Facial yoga stimulates micro-circulation and keeps the skin of the face more toned, becoming a true “natural lifting”. The exercises are easy and should be performed once a day. It is recommended to do it at night when applying face care, because by then the skin is more apt to absorb nutrients.

1 – Heat the product in your hands. Gently apply the product in a circular motion, from the forehead to the neck;

2 – Gently, with the ring finger and thumb, from the center of the chin to the ears;

3 – From the center of the face, with slight pressure, cross the hands from the nose to the ears, again;

4 – With the index fingers, from the center of the eyebrows, in ascending movements, massage until the hair roots. Do it across the forehead. Then, placing the fingers horizontally,  apply slight pressure, from the ends of the forehead to the center;

5 – Press the index finger and the middle finger from behind the ears to the collarbone, and then make upward movements all over the neck.
