It’s charms are huge and continue to be proven by numerous international awards.
We are talking about the recent nomination for the ‘’Golden City Gate festival – Tourism Multimedia Award’’, the ITB – Berlin Tourism Fair, and the distinction as one of the World’s Most Sustainable Destinations – TOP 100 , for the year 2019, by Green Destinations.
The ITB Earth Awards are the result of a partnership between the German fair and Green Destinations, a non-profit foundation dedicated specifically to Sustainable Tourism which, in addition to other activities, creates a popular Top 100 of the world’s greenest Destinations.

According to Green Destinations, the decision was made by a jury of experts, who elected the winners after reviewing the “sustainability success cases” submitted through the application. Among the criteria, the foundation analyzes the “good practices in tourist destination management” with a view towards the future.
In the international competition of Multimedia Tourism, “The Golden City Gate – Tourism Multimedia Award”, “Sintra – Portugal” was one of the movies that collected the “bronze”, in the International Cities category.
